This is HOME

Oh-emm-geee!
I cannot contain my excitement that I totally have to blog again.
2 posts in 1 day, tkde keje budak ni. Many good things happening in a day.

Today is the BTO balloting results for May BTO 2013. I swear if they were to track people who log-in with their Singpass at HDB website, I will be the number 1 on their stalker list with most number of times logging in. (I'M CRAZY LIKE THAT. DEAL WITH IT HDB.)

So, syukur Alhamdulillah, we are going to have a house. *Throws confetti in the air!* We are meant to stay in Woodlands. I knew it!

Alhamdulillah, all our preparations are going as planned. Third time is definitely a charm. :)

Strike them off!

Strike (1)!
So, we've done our online registration and booked our kadi- Ustaz Maarof Mohd. Parents' family friend. Girls, make sure you have all you need before booking ie.
bride/ groom/ wali/ 2 saksi IC numbers. And that you're preferred kadi has opened up his booking slots. Had some problems with this initially. Bleah.

Strike (2)!
We've booked our void deck as well! Wanted to do at some fancier place, but oh wells, you all tau je lah parents macam maner. It's ok, void deck is bigger, accessible, more parking lots and best part, SUPER CHEAP. $180 for 3 days.

Strike (3)!
And you're out. And we can get married already lah! Got our ROMM verification settled. Alhamdulillah. :)
The fiance kept saying that the song Skyfall kept playing in his head.
"This is the end. Hold your breath and count to ten.." Ape pula this is the end?! Takut nak kawin ke bang?!

HAHA. But, I do admit, the session with the kadi was so formal that it felt stressful. But, no worries, no hot seat questions that everyone has been scaring us with. Simply, whether we are already married to another and verify info details. Phew, selamat. Abang tunang kiter dah standby kat luar nak revise lah konon sebelum tu. HAHA.

Settling more and more things. This June has been a good, productive one. :)

Housekeeping Matters

Quick update early morning.
We realised that we can do our online ROMM registration on 27 June 2013. And it suddenly struck us, that means 150 days more only! The conversation on this was funny, can't remember how it went. But, we were truly suprised that its so close already. Cepat seh!

So, ape lagi, happy lah dapat pergi shopping untuk barang-barang yang memang plan nak beli nearer the date! HAHA. So, I got my wedding shoes (!!) and last night, we got our first bedsheet for after the whole wedding and curtains too.

Settling on housekeeping matter. We agreed on the colour for our wall which was going to be white blue/ pale blue colour. Recced around for bedroom set too. And, horray! Never had I been excited to buy bedsheets and curtain. HAH!

Operasi NMK!

Over the weekends, I had the sweetest surprise of my life!
My uni-batch girlfriends threw the best bachelorette party for me. So sweet lah.
Sayang korang semua.

Somehow, I knew my bachelorette party was coming cause they were acting weird, saying the guys can't be there lah, all-girl party lah. But, it was still a HUGE surprise and an adventrure! Ala-ala Amazing Race/ Zoom Thailand/ cerita 'Up'. Annually, we would have our chalet at Costa Sands Downtown East. So, ok lah. I was there where I met one of them and she surprised me with a video they made saying, "Nisa! We are not going to have our chalet, but you are going on a mission. OPERASI NISA MAU KAHWIN!" Alamak, cute lah  you all. Hearts hearts!

So began the quest, kene kidnap lah seh. Was blindfolded and brought into a taxi to a "mystery location". Ah pek terlepas cakap dah. "Taxi stand 313 ar?". Lol. But, what are we doing in Somerset?! Hotel in Somerset? Hotel ape seh?

Upon arrival, I had my blind fold taken off and so it began. Received mission instructions on Whatsapp. Ai, tengoklah rakan-rakan guru Melayuku. Molek sungguh bahasanya. HAHA.

Misi 1: Alah Emak Kahwinkan Aku

Oh gosh. Had to wear the veil and sash the whole day. The horror! We are in town. Paiseh paiseh!

Misi 2: Sekumtum Mawar Merah

Susah pe! So hard to give out the roses. People thought I was selling it to them. Nak kasi lah! But, it was fun though. They were beaming and congratulating me, exclaiming how cute the gesture was. A good way to start the mission. :)

Misi 3: Jauh perjalanan, luas pemandangan.
Misi 4: Putera Gemilang

So, whats a bachelorette party without a bit of cheeky fun. Tunang I confirm marah nye. Tapi amik gambar je k B, takde ape-ape. I sayang u! The girls were excited looking at the guy I manage to catch on the bridge. Muscle terkeluar-keluar. LOL.

Misi 5: Seram Sejuk

Baik hati juga kawan-kawan aku ni. It was a HOT day. Thank god they allowed me the pitstop. Coconut ice-cream, not a fan though. Sengaje kan korang.

Misi 6: Isteri Mithali

Smart ah you all. Its our chalet food. Grocery shopping feeling-feeling housewife lah gitu.

Misi 7: Surat Cinta

YEAY!! Studio M! I was super duper excited lah. So often I've seen people checking-in and posting pics of the hotel. Finally, we were there. This was going to be the best staycation ever!

Misi 8: Menjunjung Adat

Menguji kepakaran cikgu Melayu/ bakal pengantin. Stress lah. And yeay! 8 missions for 8 years of my relationship with the fiance. Touching. Finally, the door to our room opened and it was awesome! They decorated the place with balloons and streamers in my favourite colours- red and black. Glass shots and wine glasses, corset-shaped cookies, lingerie; all completed the bachelorette partayyyy!

Truly, the best gift a girl can get, is the gift of having wonderful girlfriends. 6 years of friendship and more years to come. So much love for these girls, Faezah, Sarah, 'Ain and Shafizah. Best staycation ever!

We made it!

The month of June is here! Horray!
BE WARNED: Brace yourself. A long entry is coming.
Loads to do. Or is there? The fiance thinks I'm getting too worked up about this whole wedding thing. Actually kan, I pun raser gitu. Never I thought I would have a bridezilla in me. (It's shows up a bit at times. A bit only, I HOPE.)

One major thing we had done this month was to get our wedding favours. Rejoice! We decided on getting the same item cause we absolutely LOVE how practical and useable it is. Not a fan of getting wedding favours that serves no purpose. And how we got the idea/inspiration was kinda hilarious and all another story. HAH. Anyways, our item is..
*cue drumrolls*: TEA!

I am an ABSOLUTE fan of tea. After discussing with our parents, they love it too and were into it cause everyone drinks tea and you can keep it over a year and use a sachet a day. So then, comes our quest on finding an affordable teabox and a tasty one while we are at it. Boy, we tried SOOOO many many many teas. My kitchen has a variety of tea sachets at the moment. TWG, Dilmah, Lipton, Sri Wangi. U name it. But, unfortunately, the problem was its freaking expensive in Singapore. Imagine getting a 1000 of it. $$$. Shoots self in the head.

We had to outsource. To our amazement, we found the perfect choice at such an affordable rate, kalau nak beli beribu-ribu pun I tak kisah you, in Batam. Yeap. So, here comes the hard yet fun part of getting it home.

We went for a 2D1N Batam trip, both families, to carry them all home. Yes, ALL.1100.OF.THEM. Two families, means 2200 home. CRAZY OR WHAT.

Started the day with our ferry trip. Everyone, except his brother. His helper was there too. She was really a great help. Look at the happy faces. In lala-land not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. HAH.

Went around the island. Shopped like mad. Everything is so CHEAP! Its so crazy.

Don't have pics of transporting the boxes of tea cause the men of the group went to get it. Basically, it was in the hotel room after taking it. Then, that night, the mummies and daddies, pack them on trollies, big black canvas bags and in luggages. Each person was tasked to carry around 4-5 boxes worth of teabox. Mampoz. Berat giler lah.

WE MADE IT! I don't usually go shopping in Batam, but when I do... ZOMG. One thing I'm really happy is that we all got along so well. Heart-warming to see everyone enjoyed each others company, the folks and the kids. One big happy family. Mummies and daddies dah plan next big family trip lah. Happening lah seh.

Collage summing up the whole trip. Im so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life. Our parents- for layan-ing our demand of giving teabox as wedding favours and arranging this trip, his helper- for getting a contact and settling it there, our siblings- willingly/unwillingly-family-nyer-pasal-terpaksa-ikutkan and helping in the transporting of the wedding favours and of course the love of my life, for this trip was the best with him. :)
Dah macam amik Emmy Awards lah pulak.

GSS Galore

A quick update.
GSS is here! Never had I been excited waiting for the day to come. Im sure all the other brides-to-be too. This would mean we can buy our dulang items. This whole wedding fiasco feels like a never-ending trip. So much to prepare for.

Walked around City Hall area last Saturday and bought his items. We've been changing our minds on what we want and finally settled for what we would need and use. Like DUH. Tanak membazirkan.

Glad we've managed to almost get them all except for electronic items. Waiting for September's IT Fair. Its all a waiting game.

See all the bags in his hand. The damage done. Abang fiance kiter ni boleh tahan, nak yang branded juga. Tengok ape dier pakai. Haha!

All in all, it was a good day, despite some angry bird moments. Being choosy here and there. Shopping for guys is DEFINITELY way harder than shopping for girls. So yeap, that summarises the entire day.

On another note, I have been having bad skin and feeling fat. (HAH. What's new right.) So, my facial beautician, recommended drinking distilled water with 1 teaspoon of apple cider and honey each. Read online on its benefits:

1. Digestion and food poisoning
2. Sleep issues
3. Diabetes
4. High cholestrol
5. Bones and teeth
6. Joint pain
7. Detox
8. Weight loss
9. Soothes skin allergies
10. Beauty, blemishes, burns and bad hair days

So much goodness in apple cider! Taste and smell horrible. Like apple yang dah basi and busuk. Eww.  But ohwells, no pain, no gain right? The crazy things we girls put ourselves through.
