No Money, No Honey!

"I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain't it sad
And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That's too bad

Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world"
- Abba (Money, Money, Money)
Sadly, is'nt that true. Money is never enough, unless you are some rich tai-tai. Then yes, of course can sit at home, shake leg. Le sigh. Every month, this is definitely how I look like. Duit habis babe, mestilah terkejut beruk!
Anyways, I'm your average bride-to-be with a reasonable paying job. Alhamdullilah.Tapikan, perit juga tau. With the high rising cost, definitely, you wont get a wedding for $50. Impossible. Thankfully, I've been able to save abit already, more or less prepared financially, since the wedding is at the end of this year!
The important thing after saving is keeping track of your expenditure. Now, that is a headache because every month pay comes in, so there is your personal savings and there is your savings for wedding as well. Then, comes the paying part for the wedding, photographer lah, berkat lah, mak andam lah. The list goes on and on. Money in, money out.
Thus, I've come up with a genius plan of tracking it on Excel! Orang dah lama buat, sekarang baru terfikir nak buat. Podah! Mentang-mentang dah pandai pakai Excel Spreadsheet lah kan. So, I downloaded a ready-made budget spreadsheet online and modified (buat sendiri ok!) according to a wedding/savings need.

Very easy to use. I've done up the formulae for the cells and so when you simply type in the amount, it will auto add/subtract/percentage. Cool stuff! Fan of Excel.
Just click on the Google Docs I've created to start using. Sharing is caring. :)

Fly Me To The Moon

I cant believe CNY holidays are over! The day that I've been waiting for since work started was the 4-days break and it zoomed by in a blink of an eye. Bummer.

Anyways, I would say my break was well-spent. Tak buat kerja, mestilah cakap well-rested. Hah! Had a simple airport date with my love last Sunday. It was enjoyable. A nice breakway from all the hustle and bustle. And at the airport, you will get the perks of feeling-feeling travelling somewhere. And guess what? We will at the end of this year!

Time sure passed by fast. I remember last year saying, we are horny-mooning (hehe! Suka nampak.) next year and it is already THE NEXT year, 2013! From all the conversations of next year this, next year that, the year has finally arrived. Got us thinking of all our preparations; Enough? Are we done? Have we book this and that? They are not kidding when they say you prepare from top to bottom, all year round for just a 2-day event. Madness, definitely. Truth to be told, I actually enjoy it. Exciting. Big day lah kan orang cakap.

Back to our airport date, we picked up some brochures from Planet Traveller. And guess our destination in mind. Siap letak as wallpaper on laptop ok. Excited lah katakan. Simply looking forward to Natas Fair this coming 22-24 Feb at Singapore Expo to book our love package. :)

Let's scream for ice-cream!

So, what's a blog without food post right? Haha. After work on last Monday, what better way to beat the Monday blues than having a nice cold dessert! So, we went to Salted Caramel at Upper Thomson Road to have our treat.

They basically serve ice cream with waffles or brownies. Or you can have your ice-cream on a waffle cone. Still as delish as ever. Despite being there for the second time, we are still facinated by how similar the ice-cream taste to its name like Earl Grey (taste like tea!), lychee(exactly like the fruit). Yums.

So I ended up taking their salted caramel topped with chocolate syrup and icing on soft fluffy waffle. Heavenly! The fiance took peppermint cookies and cream. $13 for both. Not too bad for such a piece of heaven.

Definitely worth taking the trip there. The simple white interior makes it one of those hipster cafe that are sprouting everywhere at odd locations these days. This humble store is pretty easy to find. Will surely come for more!

My Fairytale

It started out like any other day. We met up to go for a date. But it was extra-coated of sweetness that day.
He came over and appeared in front of my lift with a bouquet of roses, food from Delifrance and it turned out to be a car date!

And our date destination was... SENTOSA! Favourite spot. It was raining but that didn't dampen our spirits one bit.
We had a special picnic. He set up the table and that was definitely one pure sweetness.
Then came presents (!!) Omg! Exciting. We were celebrating our 7th year anniversary so there were 7 presents. Guy Laroche notepad, Wicked tickets, a photo album of us from past till currently. By this moment, me being the emotional wreck, has started tearing up and couldnt believe how sweet it all was.
Then came the ultimate present that made me cry my eyes out! I swear. It came unexpected and I was taken by surprise. It was the best present ever. A jigsaw puzzle with a message on it. I couldn't believe how much trouble to put together such a wonderful surprise. A fairytale come through indeed.
His proposal speech that will be forever etched in my memory;
"These past 7 years have been the best years of my life, and if you allow me, I will dedicate my life to making you feel the same way.. I love you." :')

In my teary-eyed state and laughters, I said, YES! Yes to the man that I want to spend with for the rest of my life. I'm so thankful to have met such an angel who stood by me through it all. On 13 March 12, the day you proposed, I promise, for the rest of my life, I am faithfully yours. :)

2013!

Hello hello!
2013 is here. Abit late on the welcoming speech there. Of course for many of us the blogging spirit has died; mine too. But, since this year is THE YEAR (!), I decided to revive the blogger spirit again. The intention is for keepsake memories, our own personal memory-lane-space. :)

And so, what's coming up in 2013? *cue drumroll* Two major things, apply for our own place and our marriage in Nov 2013! A new journey and beginning. Will update this space to document our journey together and thus the title: My Daily With You
