Housing Woes

FINALLY!
May BTO project was out yesterday.

I'm happy for my friends who already secured a place but at the same time I envy them too. Siapa tak kan? Been waiting for months for this to come out. I'm so glad of recent years, the new project are around Woodlands, where currently both our families are living. BUT, we hadn't have much on luck so far. This would be our 3rd try. So, if we were to get this, insyaallah, it would be a 4-5 years wait = 2017/2018. :(

I was telling the fiance that its ok. It would be good be able to save up for renovations and furnitures/ appliances. Let's pray 3rd time's a charm.

Lights, camera, ACTION!

Isnt this insanely adorable? :)
The fiance got it for me all the way from California. Order online lah. Cute gila kan! He came over last night before I went for a jog (And I thought I didn't want to go. Tired. Forced to since he surprised me at my void deck after I told him I might be going jogging. Padan muka.) So, yes, my "Cik Tudung Merah" as my mum said. My mother the super Melayu lah can.

Anyways, my hp rang and it was from FLIPSIDE. Hurray! Finally, a vendor calls after some time. It has been a while. The last time we met them was probably last year Dec?

Flipside Stories. My videographer. Called to fix a 2nd appointment date. Excited much. At that moment after, called the fiance to tell the details of our next appointment end June/ early July.
To bring along:
- Photos of dating/ engagement years
- Songlist
-Wedding details
-50% of currently balance as 2nd payment
- original receipt

Still discussing and soon finalising our songlist. Still contemplating on our main trailer song. But roughly, here's our picks.

A combination of the fiance's and my picks. Really wonder how they are going to gel all the songs together. Interesting right. Lights, camera, ACTION!

Feeling The Scare

Time moving way too fast! Time check: 5 months 27 days more. Starting to feel the heat and scare. Am I ready? Have I booked everything? What else have I not done? I think this whole wedding fiasco is madness! Years of planning all for that 2 days. I'm already super-duper organised with having a wedding file filled with my budgeting, payment tracker and what nots yet I still feel like a complete MESSI dah menggila and stress lah you! Sumpah, tak bedek. STRESS.

Friends and family are asking what they can do to help. Truth be told, as my mum said it, "everything is settled for you nowadays. Mana ada rewang-rewang lagi." I would love and appreciate all the help but really, what is there to rewang these days other than pack the wedding favours into individual bags and make bunga rampai? Kinda lose the sense of community feeling in this age.

The fiance and I looked back at our bookings, more or less, the major ticket items are booked/ done, except for
1) register our marriage at ROMM
2) block-booking
3) collect all our wedding favours
4)  make our wedding cards
5) buy dulang items
6) DIY my dulangs

*Sidenote: I think the fiance and I are spending way too much for this wedding already. Its always tambah ni, tambah tu. Never cut down here or there. Banyak nah duit aku?!

Anyway, today the fiance and I settled a rough itinerary for our big day. Really feels like I'm the main floor manager for a school performance. Coordination, participants involved, timings; what a whirlwind.

The horror!
Baru rough planning dah sampai 3 page?! Banyak susah lah show ni. Takutnyer. Dear God, let everything run smoothly in the best conditions. May You bless us on this very special occasion that is filled with love and grace from You. Insyaallah, Amin.

150 Mins!

150 mins! Per week! What is this?
The amount of exercise one needs to maintain a healthy living as recommended by Team Singapore. Supper semangat, I know. So, today at work/ school (teacher-forever-conflicted-with-saying-going-to-work-or-school. BOTH right.), Team Singapore came and had a mini talkshow with the kids.

Macam patriotic nah pula gambar ini. Bagus lah. GO TEAM SG!

Amongst the things they talked about was how much they trained. For normal human beings like us, 150 mins is recommended. (They are super beings, I tell you. Marathon runner training= 100km/wk. OMG.)

That brings me to the amount of dieting/exercising/ ikat perut/ pantang-this, pantang-that as bride and groom to be. I've always been weight-conscious. But, as I grow older, it has shifted to a more fitter and healthier cause, which is a good thing. The fiance and I are always encouraging each other to keep fit. Him and his weights/ push-ups/ pull-ups (abang-abang body lah kan.) Me and my gym classes.

This is DEFINITELY us! :)

Initially, I was much into running only- marathons. Now, gyming and such. A member of Amore Fitness. Mad love for this gym. And recently, I've joined Groove, Dance School. This one ar, ahem ahem, for more interesting/intimate dance classes.
j

So far, I have attended one class. Ok lah. Fun.
Some sexy love is on the way. *kening naik-naik* :PP

Fast-forward Please

Can we just fast-forward to November already. All this preparations and ka-chings going out for that 2 days is crazy I tell you, especially for someone like me who is obssessed with her finances. (I knew it. Banking and money is my calling. Salah workline dah!)

Amidst work, I'm so glad we always have time to still go on dates. We are the kaki jalan type. So, off we went to settle our wedding favours last Sunday. Collected 200 pieces for his side already. Still loads to go. Maha leceh beli berkat dari overseas tapi murah nye pasal, SANGGUPHaven't started with mine yet. Will get the angkatan tentera aka family to all go and carry 4 boxes, worth 200 pieces of berkat in June.  Siaplah. Balik satu-satu jadi abang/kakak body. Hah!

Good to know his eyes are on the road while his tak-boleh-duduk-diam fiancee was snapping away pictures because it was such a loooooong drive. Zzz.

Anyway, the future family-in-law is coming over to have dinner at my place tonight. Love it that both families are getting along well. Going to selitkan discussion on wedding itinerary. Let's fast forward time already.

Still got more wedding plans to do! 6 months, 5 days more. GASP!

Kasih Sejati

Kasih Sejati. Relationship and success redefined. Recently, we went for our kursus rumahtangga. When you say you are going for kursus, people would always joke and say, "kursus RUMAHTANGGA eh?!" *insert cheeky smile/look* And its for real this time. (*Gasp!)

So, we signed up for Kasih Sejati (KS) by Suchi Success. After asking around, or more like asking my bestie, Diyanah, (cause she's the only one of my close friends who are married), she recommended KS. They run the 2-days Muslim pre-marriage courses islandwide, meaning you can go to any mosque in partnership with them or their main training centre for this course. They provide courses in English or Malay. So, we chose to go to Darul Makmur and having it in Malay, which was not bad because the trainers selit-selitkan English explainations.

There were activities, quizzes and talks by 4 different trainers regarding everything under the sun you need to know about pre-marriage and marriage itself. (No post-marriage eh. Post=divorce. Tsk!)

So, overall, it was a good experience and definitely fun. The trainers are good and really interactive. Enjoyed ourselves. An eye-opener.  Make us talk about issues that we've never really discussed and relook and rethink our relationship. KS by Suchi Success, thumbs-up!

Together Since 2005

19 April 2013. *sappy entry alert*
Abit overdued. Marks our 8th year of being together. Never have I felt so blessed and loved. And soon, in November, we are to be married. :') So much ups and downs, but one thing for sure, I will never trade the lifetime experience for anyone else.

Celebrated our anniversary at MBS. I'm always amazed by the gifts he has for me. Always manage to tug on  my heartstrings and create tears in my eyes by how sweet they are; the sweetest couple tee ever, my favourite Doraemon and a lifetime scrapook- Our Adventure Book, based on Pixar's, 'Up'. Lovely movie; makes you cry within the first 10 mins. (Yar, coming from a cengeng girl who cries at everything according to him. Hmmph!)

Sat down to do our Adventure Book together. Definitely, a therapeutic experience! Really sweet seeing him piecing it together. Love the fact that he knows I love this scrapbooking thing and he got it for us.

'Up' version of the book. Cute stuff.
<br>

And this is OUR version! Going to fill it with loads of pictures of new lifetime adventures together. Definitely can't wait.

2013, a sweet, surreal year for sure. :)
